Hide version (caption.js and en-GB.ini)

Post by yae » Sun Dec 14, 2014 1:21 pm

Hello:

How I can hide the version of Joomla?

Already I have tried this: http://www.itoctopus.com/how-to-hide-the-joomla-version

But when I scan the web from sucuri.net , it continues detecting the version
Web application version:
Joomla Version 1.5.18 - 1.5.26 for: http://mydomainblabla.com/media/system/js/caption.js
Joomla Version 1.5.18 - 1.5.26 for: http://mydomainblabla.com/language/en_GB/en-GB.ini
Joomla version outdated: Upgrade required.
Outdated Joomla Found: Joomla under 2.5.26 or 3.3.5

My site:
version 1.5.26
(spanish language)
Regards

Hi, as you can see from the example you have provided Sucuri is detecting your approximate Joomla version from the files on your site, not from a version declaration in the page code. If you want Sucuri to detect your site as Joomla 2.5 or 3 you need to install the newer versions with those files on your site.
