Displaying articles on my webstie

I would like to have sub-categories on my website. For example I have a menu called 'Weight Lifting', I want it to lead to a sub-category titled 'Best Weight Lifting Equipment'.

I would love something similar to this website

You Joomla version is outed by many years.

The current version 3.4 have nested Categories instead of the fixed Section/Category.
