Migration to New Server

Running Joomla 1.5.26. Was required to migrate to a newer cpanel server.

Downloaded all files to my PC (except for these two: /stats/logs and /components/com_jcomments/jomsocial_rule.xml).

Uploaded files to new server. Site comes up but with the following comments preceding every entry:
"Warning: Parameter 3 to plgContentArticleeditor::onBeforeDisplayContent() expected to be a reference, value given in /home/oggie2016/public_html/libraries/joomla/event/event.php on line 67"

Any ideas?
