I am moving my site from Siteground to Hostek and I know that I have ALL of my files in the wwwroot folder in Hostek now from Siteground. I know it is all there and I cannot find the right Index file to launch it on Hostek like it was on Siteground...I should look like this. This was my homepage on Siteground:
http://siteground265.com/~traintra/inde ... 7&Itemid=1

But the tech support at Hostek cannot find the right Index file to launch my joomla website again...and my old version that I made with the old Frontpage platform is appearing instead. Sigh... I am wondering if I need to go into the Admin for Joomla in order to transfer the site to the new location at Hostek? I have never done this before. If so, please advise as to what I need to click on in the Joomla Admin panel and what I need to do. Thanks for your time.

First, you should have deleted the old site files before creating the site with Joomla!

Second, the index file should be index.php

Third, when you move the site, not only you should move the files, you should also move/copy the database content that you use with Joomla!

You could transfer your site developed in Joomla! to another host/location by the following ways.

(i) Use the extension Akeeba Backup Core (http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/access-a-security/backup/1606) to backup your site including the database. You have to transfer the archive file created by Akeeba Backup Core to your remote host and use the kickstart.php script file (created by Akeeba Backup Core developers) to restore the site. Also, you would have a back-up permanently.

(ii) Use the manual process. Review the document http://docs.joomla.org/How_do_you_copy_a_site_from_localhost_to_a_remote_host%3F for more information. Even though the document talks about copying a site from a localhost to a remote host, it is equally good to copy a site from a remote host to another remote host.

Note:
In both the cases, you have to create a new database on the remote host, create a user for the database, grant all privileges to the user for connecting to it.

What great information. Thank you so much! Tech support deleted the old files and allowed only index.php to remain and now my site is UP! And looking like it should.
I do not know how to get into the my Joomla Administration database/panel though to make any changes to my site. That is next on my list to figure out. I have my password for the Hostek control panel, but I need to know how to get the the Joomla Admin database.
