Problem with Installation

Problem Description:
I can install Joomla 1.5.3, but as soon as I try to make any changes, for example add an article I get the error, followed by a timeout.

Log/Error Message:

Actions Taken To Resolve:

I have been able to work with 1.0 no problem, but I can\'t get past this. Any help would be much appreciated.
