I have installed 1.01 on my system and it works fine. After uninstalling 1.01 i tried installing 1.5rc3 and 1.5 can't find mysql on the pre check screen. I have other cms running so mysql is working.

Hi jtheman

Welcome to Joomla!

When you say 1.5 cannot find MySQL are you referring to the Pre-installation screen at Step 1?

What are the system specifications of your web server? Did you run the phpinfo() script suggested in the Installation Manual? If so are the necessary modules for PHP active?

Please provide some details and we will be better able to try and find an answer for you.

I'm running windows 2003 iis, PHP Version 5.2.0, and mysql 5.0.11. Joomla 1.0 works fine. Any other ideas and yes I'm getting the error on the pre-check step 1.

Reinstalled PHP and it worked.
