The Joomla! User Documentation Team are pleased to announce the release of the Joomla! 1.5 Installation Manual today.

The Manual covers:

* System Requirements
* Localhost and Remote Host Installations
* Obtaining Joomla
* Preparations ahead of installation
* File Transfer
* Secure Password Thinking
* Web Browser Installation
* Manual Installation
* Known Issues and Error Solving (this has yet to be populated)
* General information for anyone new to the Joomla! Community
* Further reference relating to Joomla! 1.5 (this also has yet to be populated)

The manual is available as an online resource here at the Help Site or for download in PDF file format for bedtime reading from the Joomla! Project Document Repository on Joomla! Code!. Just "right click" and select Save As from the menu of your browser.

Updated Version Released

Hi all I have just published the latest version of the Joomla! 1.5 Installation Manual v.0.5 on JoomlaCode.org.

This consolidates the changes that have been made over the last month on the Help Site into the PDF release, plus other general tidying up of the document.
