1.0.12 and 1.5 rc3 concurrently on same winxp pro box?

Greetings,

I currently run Joomla 1.0.12 with XAMPP on WinXP Pro and all works fine.  I was wondering if I wanted to dabble with Joomla 1.5 rc3 would it be possible to install on same machine? That is can I run them concurrently?  If so, should I be warned of any potential land mines?

(I hope the "cops" don't bust me for not searching, 'cuz I did try.  Honest.)

No problem with this at all. I have multiple copies of J! - different versions - on my XP box with XAMPP.

Why 1.0.12 though? 1.0.13 is the secure level.

Great, I'll give it a go.

As for why I'm currently running 1.0.12, it's the version that was recent when I started messin' with J!  I simply hadn't looked into upgrading it.  Probably not all that tuff, or is it? Would you happen to know of a link that discusses how?

Hi Amy,

Thanks so much for your help.  I was able to get J! installed on my WinXP pro box along with 1.0.12 without a hitch.  I found the new Joomla 1.5 installation manual (See: http://help.joomla.org/content/category/48/268/302/) to be a huge help.
