Help Pages no longer work for 1.5

Hello,

I just noticed that the help files no longer work. Are there any places to download some flat html pages so I can get them working again?

Here is one of the help files that no longer work:

They are still somewhat available here:

but I was hoping that they might be downloadable as a group.

maybe stop for joomla 1.5. You can find more via google.

Sorry, but 1.5 is no longer supported and has not been since September 2012.

We just made some adjustments to the notice you see when trying to access the help screens in 1.5. Unfortunately, there isn't a downloadable pack of help screens for 1.5. Yes they can be served locally and it is an option in global configuration. You would need to update the html files in the

Code: Select all

administrator/help/en-GB/

directory to get them working locally. The html files are all there, but just state use the online ones.

Thanks for the helpful information. I didn't really feel like setting up a 1.0 version just to serve help files, so I downloaded the flat pages from docs.joomla.org. Using your hint of ?action=render made it much easier.

Basically I downloaded the images and changed the src for the images to (/images/help-1.5/) so that the pages would work. I didn't change the href links that point back to docs.joomla.org because they are currently working.

Anyway if anyone else needs these files I zipped them together. The file ends up being about 5M so I can't upload it to the forum because there is a limit: "The file is too big, maximum allowed size is 500 KiB."

How can I share the help files without serving them from one of my servers?
