Hi, welcome to the forum. Where did you copy all files to, it only shows a configuration file and not the rest of all files and directories?

Please download the full version of Joomla! 1.5.14, extract it, and upload everything except the installation folder.

Ok,

Now I see the same screen, with a new map "Joomla_1.5.14-Stable-Full_Package"

I have extracted the zip file in the map 'myjoomlasite', is that what you meant or do I have to upload(?) with vsftpd because then I've to figure out how it works first... not familiar with that, I work with my pc as a local host, just want to learn to work with Joomla :)

If you are working on localhost, you can just copy all the files from the directory Joomla_1.5.14-Stable-Full_Package to the myjoomlasite directory (except the directory with the name "installation")

Thanks Olaf, I did what you told me. But still...

A little summary of my Joomla installation progress
- see if your installation was successful so far, open browser window and type http://localhost/myjoomlasite and press return. CHECK
- open your xampp server http://localhost/xampp, click on myphpadmin and create a mysql database to use with your site. CHECK
- go back to your joomla setup and follow the steps. CHECK
- remove the installation directory from your myjoomlasite folder. CHECK
- you should now be able to login into your sites administrator section. To view your site go to http://localhost/myjoomlasite => HERE'S THE PROBLEM [see the screenshot]

If you open the map "Joomla_1.5.14-Stable..." then I removed the map "installation".

Or do I only have to remove the 'installer' situated in the installation map?
