http 500 internal server error

hello all,

here the thing that i got stuck n want help from u all, tnx
i was using as developing machine my windows 7 laptop but when i want to move my joomla website from this computer to my webserver having ubuntu 10.04 server edition OS i got this problem

http 500 internal server error

i am using current version of apache,phpmyadmin on lammp.
and i dont have database password in production machine but now when i configure mysql i give a password and a add this password manally in the configuration file of joomla

var $password = '********';

like this, befor i put the the above quated line of code in the configuration.php file i was havind

could not connect to mysql database

please help me.

Hi,

Check your username and password of mysql is assigned for joomla database. and for 500 error you should check mod_rewrite module and .htaccess file on the server.

make sure you mysql HOST is correct, some webhosts do not allow "localhost"
