Cant connect to database - configuration problem

Cant connect to database - configuration problem

Hi I'm running Joomla 1.5.23

I just moved my site to new hosting, and "successfully" imported the database.
However, I get the following error when I connect to website and admin panel:

Database Error: Unable to connect to the database:Could not connect to MySQL

Can anyone please help?

Solved.
In my configuration.php I changed
var $host = 'my ip address was here';
to
var $host = 'mysql51-56.perso';
