Hi dmoosavi and welcome to the forum!

Yes that is quite easy. Set up a local web server/mySQL, like XAMPP/WAMPP, database accessible from your LAN and install the latest version 2.5.6 of Joomla!

Hi fleischwolf
thank you for your advice but my question was how could I do that? We have a windows server2008 in our workplace. I understand I may be able to use IIS for this.
the manual I have does not explain how to do this.
if what you suggest is the easiest way should I create the local sever say WAMP on my lan server(windows2008)? and when I do so how do I make it accessible from my lan? in other words what should I do to make it accessible in my lan. Thanx again
