Hey all,

I use Joomla & phpList. There are a number of forum entries relating to phpList, but not much of recent times. Can anyone tell me:
1. Is there an Open-Source integration between the two?
2. If not, is there a solidly working commercial integration?

Thanks,
Steve B

There's another solution, and free. It's called phplist registration (component) and phplist subscriber (module) from Joomclub.com

The component replaces the default joomla registration component to allow users subscribe to any two lists managed by PHPlist.

The module shows a box with fields for a name and an email. They're both very simple to use and don't require any hack or anything. That's what I'm using in several of my websites.

Hope it helps

So this would only work if you were able to abandon the need for joomla registration by end users ?

Not really. You may have the component installed - without publishing it- and use only the module!  Or maybe the module will work without even installing the component. :P  You could check.

1. Yes, you can find some at "Mailing & Distribution Lists" category on JED:
http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions ... tion-lists
