Joomla/Vtiger Integration is here!!! SEE DEMO

Looks like Fosslabs has done it!

He has made a few components and a mosbot to make it all work.

He has made a nice demo showing the use of forms and displaying products in a catalog and cart with credit card processing.

But the most incredible point is you can take almost any data from vtiger and display it in Joomla with a mosbot.
Imagine how cool this can be with customazation. Like specific content is shown based on user/group security level in vtiger.

Basicaly vtiger-5 RC release brings forward a new breed of software with all the customization we have heard about for the past 15 years of Internet marketing propaganda.

Get ready this is the coolest most awesome stuff anywhere on the Internet! Joomla/Vtiger Integration is here!!!

I have installed vTiger (and tweaked php5) to get it running. Very, very promising. A powerful CRM + Joomla = Awesomeness.

I am having a hard time understanding how a user creates a troubleticket. Do I create a custom form with the vfields mambot?

=EDIT=

Simply awesome. By registering at the demo above, I fugured out that you need to create a link url to:

Code: Select all

index.php?option=com_helpdesk&task=NewTicket
and call it for instance, New Ticket.

and list tickets:

Code: Select all

index.php?option=com_helpdesk&task=ListTickets
Create a link to the helpdesk component so that the client can see their tickets.

This is simply amazing and unbelievably powerful  --- finally a real CRM integrated with Joomla!

The rest of the custom stuff, like surveys etc, is the vfields, time to get started on that.

If you haven't already, upgrade to the latest version (0.6), it has many many fixes for the help desk and knowledge base (and all the other stuff too).

If you find breaks, drop me a bug report or forum post on the project page.

Thanks

Matt

P.S. Right now I am providing a patch to sef.php for the needed bot_vfield changes.. any suggestions on better ways to do this?

Is this one still working, I just got assigned to set up our company homepage and found vtiger to be what everyone wanted... I have earlier done some sites using joomla and is looking for some way to integrate them!

all I would need is to get the logins to be the same, so that when someone working in our company logs into joomla they can start using vtiger at once!

That question about the site being down is about a year and a half old. Not the fastest answer, isn't it :).

Well... all I can say is I am glad I wasn't holding my breath waiting for an answer.

As far as I can tell, the work on Joomla / vTiger integration has come to a halt. Today I also looked on the vTiger forums and the Joomla Modules thread was last modified sometime in 2007.

Pitty. :'(

Cheers,
Jonathan :pop

The modules that were done can be downloaded form above unfortunately they are in tar.gz format and thus confusing for a windows user

Please take a look at http://www.openwebapplications.com they have done it. Capture marketing leads and contacts from your joomla web site and store them in Vtiger CRM. Create Vtiger products, documents and users from joomla administrator. It is a joomla component.

hi there mmbrich, I was wondering what happened to this? I see the fosslabs site has been down for some time and I have spent all day trying to tweak this to get it working with my Joomla 1.5.20 installation but to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have recently bought something from this website http://www.openwebapplications.com it integrates Joomla and Vtiger and you can capture from your visitors their name, email address, street address, how they fund out about you, their product preferences, and their time frames. It stores the captured data in Vtiger CRM as leads or contacts. It has two versions single-language, it supports one language per website, and multi-language, it supports Joom!Fish based multi-lingual websites. Take a look at their multi-lingual demo http://www.openwebapplications.com/itco ... s/landing3 . The only complaint I have is that it is a bit expensive (it is $60 per website for the single language version). So perhaps this answers the joomla vtiger integration questions from this topic.

Thanks for the post. Yes I have also purchased the lead capture pro product and to be quite honest am not impressed with it in the slightest. It only works one way whereas I want to display vtiger information in joomla too ... The fosslabs integration would have been perfect had someone finished it or kept it maintained for later joomla versions but alas not. Thanks once again for taking the time to respond.

Hello,

We are developing free software for this propose, look at http://www.robusoft.us
1. we developed a connector between sql-ledger and Vtiger. (two ways for customers <=> Contacts)
2. we developed an connector between RSFORMS (Joomla) to Vtiger.
3. we now are working at an connector for new login users to Leads, together with JUSER / Migty software connect in two ways to Vtiger.

Look at our site to see the progress and download the software all ready to use. Our development keeps on going on the donations people will make for our software (We work at an no cure no pay situation). Descriptions to install and work with our software comes as HTML but can be bought on-line.

Be gentle, its work in progress.

Gr.
