Do an upgrade to 1.5.26. That is the latest version 1.5.

To go to 2.5 is done with a migration.

I have already tried the 'jUpgrade' but no joy.

It is showing only long processing (3 hours) also loosed some front end information.

Kindly advise

Update to 1.5.26 first. Otherwise Jupgrade will not work.

Many users have had more luck with spupgrade.

There are certain requirements for jUpgrade to work like cUrl settings in your php.ini.. Check this first with the documentation of jUpgrade. If your server meet all the requirements and your migration process hangs, then you should take the help of someone who knows Joomla well..
Good Luck!!

Our web site was developed on a Joomla 1.5 platform last year by a webmaster in New York. In February
we maigrated the web site to a new web master in California, Kreck Designs who inherited the Joomal 1.5 platform. Recently he notified us that our site has been hacked and his ISP's CPU is gobbling up 80% of its capacity on our web site flatcreekestate.com. Kreck tells us the version of 1.5 we are on is not longer supported and can not be supported. Can you help in this matter.

Hello Ricknaber,

Do you have a backup of your website?
If yes then developed it again with latest joomla platform that is 2.5.6.

First backup your site, Akeeba Backup is a good extension for this. Now update to the latest version of Joomla 1.5

Now try jUpgrade.
