I'm royally confusing myself all roads currently with my intentions for upgrading from V1 to 1.5 as well as moving my site from a subfolder to root.   The latter I have (I hope) sussed out - at least I have all the info and instructions which seem very straightforward.   However, my dilemma is that I currently have my V1 site on a server that is rapidly running out of space as it's currently supporting both old and new sites and I don't want to have to further increase space if I can help it.   Ideally before I do the planned switchover to the new site next Monday I'd like to upgrade the backend to v1.5, so my question (after all that  :)) is - will this take up a lot of extra space as I presume I'll have to set 1.5 up in a separate subfolder again, then migrate my v1 details across (have done that ok on a test site so happy enough with procedure), or does the 1.5 overwrite the 1 in the latter's folders??    I appreciate a full backup is necessary before I do anything anyway, but am trying to ensure I've no last minute hitches.   It's thankfully a relatively small site but still - don't want to have to start over again!   Anyone any input as to the best way forward perhaps.   I think I've literally only got about 4-6 Mb of space left to play with hence my desire to switchover soon so I can dump the old site off the server.   Alternatively if I wait until after the switchover, are errors more likely for any reason - would it maybe be an easier option??   See why I'm confused LOL!  TIA. :D

Since nobody seemed able or willing to help provide this info I ended up sticking the entire installation up onto another server and discovered it takes up at least if not more than 60 Mb+ - maybe of use for anyone else who might run into a similar situation in the future.
