MySQL Database Unable to connect

Lastnight I uploaded my site from localhost (worked fine) to an outside hosting account.
Now my site is saying:

Database Error: Unable to connect to the database:Could not connect to MySQL

I am VERY new to Joomla and do not know where to go to correct problem.
I have the correct MySQL code for the new server but don't know where to enter it.

For future reference was there something I should have changed before uploading it to avoid this problem?

Check configuration.php in your root folder (line 33 to 36)
