Combining an existing static site with a Joomla subsite

Post by tbrowder » Thu Apr 14, 2011 1:37 pm

I have a couple of school class sites (http://usafa-1965.org and http://highlandsprings.org) that have many static and public auto-generated pages under the front page. I would like to use Joomla to manage the rest of the soon-to-be-expanded site but reuse some (maybe all) of the existing theme colors, images, etc.). I anticipate most, if not all, of the Joomla portion will not be accessible to the public.

Can that be done fairly seamlessly or do I need to look elsewhere? If it can be done, can anyone point to an existing site that operates similarly?

Thanks.

Joomla is a Content Management System and menu driven......All data is stored in the MySQL database....Nothing is static html so forget what you want....No CMS based on PHP/MySQL will be able to do this...

It is not that difficult to migrate your html-code to Joomla manually or even with extensions so give it a shot!
