Article save button not working anymore 1.5.9->1.5.25!

HELP!

Updated my Joomla from 1.5.9 to 1.5.25 now i can´t save the articles anymore. Nothing happens when i click the Save or Apply buttons when in a article. Page won´t reload or save the article. Clicking on the Close button works.

What has happened?

Try using different web browsers (eg Chrome, Firefox, ..)

Thx for the tip. Tried it. Worked in Chrome. But not my Firefox. Very odd. Have some Javascript debug tool in my FF. And it shows alot of errors. So the problem is TinyMCE 2.0. What do i do know? I really don´t want to mess around with the editor. It´s not me that is updating the site. And they will be pissed if i change the editor.

Try uploading the files again, could be some were not updated or became corrupt.

How do i do this manually whitout messing it up?

I used "Joomla! Update Manager" because i wanted to make sure it "worked out" alright.

This is the error i get when clicking on the Save button in FF (Newest version):

Try installing the JCE editor extension;

See if that works on the site. If your server does not have php 5.3 do not install the latest version of JCE, use one of the older ones that support php 5.2. You can check in the backend of your site under Help/System Info to see what version of php the site is using.

Update:
I tried to update on a Linux server and it worked out. So i went back to the production server (Windows) and did the same process. Still the same error.

I found out that when i installed i had Register Globals ON on that server. But it did work on the 1.5.9 version. So why should it work in the 1.5.25 version?

I´m in alot of trouble. I think i will never update joomla again. The hazzle! I really don´t know what to do. I need to update it to install a component that requires at least 1.5.10. Also i can´t change the editor. The people running the site will go nuts if i change it. There are already talks about "this wouldn´t have happened in WordPress".

You could try running the Forum Post Assistant on the problem server and see if it finds a problem with the setup. Joomla 1.5.25 uses a newer version of TinyMCE than 1.5.8 does. Since JCE uses TinyMCE as a foundation I thought that they may feel comfortable with it.

You could try uploading the "tinymce" folder from a full file set for Joomla 1.5.25 and see if that fixes it;
plugins/editors/tinymce
Make sure you upload it to the "editors" folder that is inside the "plugins" folder.

Did anyone find a solution to this?

I've tried 3 different versions of Joomla to try and get a site to work however in each one I cannot save articles because of this issue.

I've spent over a week trying to get this sorted so would hugely appreciate if someone has a solution that will work?
I'm using internet explorer but I have used several different PC's to see if that was the issue... unfortuantely not!

Would appreciate if anyone could possibly help me!
