Deprecated: Function ereg() is deprecated in /home/www/sainst.org/templates/elegance/index.php on line 169

Hi there
All of a sudden today - two of my sites has crashed.
I get the following text (and more) on my web pages:

Quote:
Deprecated: Function ereg() is deprecated in /home/www/sainst.org/templates/elegance/index.php on line 169


or
Quote:
Deprecated: Function ereg() is deprecated in /home/www/oewerzicht.com/templates/emma_smooth/index.php on line 84


When I go into the global configuration in the Administrator - I get the same message.

Site address: http://www.sainst.org and http://www.oewerzicht.com

Two things have happened on my server.
PHP has been upgraded to 5.3.9
and MySQL has been upgraded to 5.1.57

I have upgraded the templates, and upgraded both sites to Joomla ver 1.5.25.

I am planning to upgrade the sites to Joomla 2.5 - but do not want to do the upgrade while there are errors on the pages.
Any suggestions about what could be causing the errors would be appreciated.

The deprecated function is in your template. You have to upgrade the template.

Replace ereg() with the new function preg_match ( )
