How do I link to a document that is on my site?

Perhaps I am being a bit stupid here but when I am in the Rich Text Editor and I want to link to a pdf file that is on my site, is there an easy way to find the path to that file, once I have selected the link tool? Or is there a better way to link to a file. Sometimes I dont' know the path/directory I need to follow to find the file and want a 'browse' button so I can locate the file. Does anybody out there know how to do this?
I'm using Joomla 1.5.

Create a new directory in the root of your website, call it files. Then upload all your files to it. Then create links to
http://www.mysite.com/files/filename.pdf

Hope this helps!

You could consider using a different wysiwyg-editor with decent file and image handling - for instance http://www.wysiwygpro.com (commercial software, but well worth the $).

Regards :)

There used to be JCE, which was in my opinion the best free WYSIWYG editor out there. I believe its currently being rewritten for J1.5 (in fact at the time of this post it is Beta1)
