Re-order menu items
Hi, I'm using 1.5.23.
How do I re-order the menu items and save them? I've figured out I need to change the numbers for the order when viewing the Menu items. But there appears to be no save button to keep that order.

Re: Re-order menu items
I reviewed the Joomla! 1.5.26 site and noticed that there is an icon to Save Order, next to Order.
Be informed that Joomla! 1.5.x is no longer supported.
In addition, the latest version in 1.5 series is 1.5.26 + a Security Hot Patch.
First I would suggest taking a backup of your site files (including sub-directories) and the database content (by exporting the content using tools such as phpMyAdmin).
Next, upgrade your site to 1.5.26 + Security Patch in a test environment and test the site. Once you are satisfied with the result, upgrade your production site to 1.5.26 + Security Patch.
For the versions of Joomla! review the document http://docs.joomla.org/Joomla_1.5_version_history.
For the Security Patch review the document http://docs.joomla.org/Security_hotfixe ... L_versions.
Review of the document http://docs.joomla.org/J1.5:Upgrading_1 ... 5x_version would be of help.

Re: Re-order menu items
Thank you. I don't have access to the back end to do that and might have to tell my colleague she needs to speak to her host and maybe they might be able to do that. Where is the Save Order in 1.5.26? Would it be in the same place for 1.5.23? As I've not found it.

Re: Re-order menu items
When you change the order of a menu item the page should reload and a blue bar should show up saying "Menu Item Moved ..." . In your screen shot I see the "Order" column and right beside the column title is the disc icon, hovering over it it says "Save Order".

Re: Re-order menu items
You know, that disc icon is so tiny I didn't realise it was there? I was looking in the top right where all the other options are. Thank you, I'll go have another look to save it.
