How to create submenu in Joomla 1.5.6

Can someone point to any article which shows how to create submenu?
I have been able to create a simple flat structure menu but not submenu.

For Example :
Sports
Football (Sub Menu)
Baseball

As you know how to create menu..so first just create above menu
While creating Football menu..Chose "Sports" as "Parent items"

Display in:
Parent Item: Sports
