Hi,

I'm looking for an easy way to show the username of the logged in user on the welcome-page, specified in the mod_login.

Some basic assumptions:

- I'm not using CommunityBuilder.
- The text on the welcome-page has to be administered with the article manager (so that my customer can change it)

Is there a plugin with which I can show the username (or full name) of the logged in user on my welcome-page? e.g.: Welcome {FullName} (where the FullName is replaced during rendering).

If not, are there other solutions for this issue?

I solved this issue by programming a new Plugin which translates {userfullname} to the logged in user's full name.

I am facing the same issue... Any chance of sharing that plugin? I need to be able to display the {userfullname} in the header, but do not know where to even start....

I'd like to see the plugin as well.

As promised, here's the plugin for all of you who want to use it.

Install the zip with the Joomla! installer and it will replace each instance of {userfullname} in content texts with the users Full name.
