Menus missing and parts of admin panel

I have just logged into my admin panel and see this

If I try and add a new menu item it works but still doesn't show anything in the list, the menus are also missing from the site.

In other sections of the admin panel there are commands missing, the selection boxes and enable/disable buttons.

Any ideas what might cause this, I have searched but not found anything.

Also missing are menu items in content - article - new. No longer have css or insert table options on menu. See photo here:

I have the same problem for the online site, I have a 'development' version of this site locally running xampp and everything still shows up there, tried uploading the entire site, including the database again, but that didn't work.

There are still no menu items visible in the menu item manager. When I add a new menu item it shows up on the actual site, but again not in the menu item manager, so I can't delete or de-activate any menus right now.

This is a real problem as I'm about to deliver this site to a customer.

Did you check the permissions of the appropriate files ?
The permissions of the folders should be at least 755 and the php files 644

Folder properties are fine, double checked them a few minutes ago.

I did however just changed my 1.5.14 installation online to a 1.5.15 install ... and the menu items are back. :-[

I also have thae same problem as Mistic, and it looks like it occured at the same time as his problem came about! I can't seem to find any way to fix it! Plllllease anyone help! :'(

All my admin control panel command icons disappeared, I cannot publish, unpublish, save, apply or cancel etc etc
This occured right after I started to use Facebook Connect for Jomsocial (do not know if related)
Can you help? bearing in mind that I don't understand codes and php (I know!)

I have the same problem as disegno-s. Will try the upgrade from 1.5.14 to 1.5.15. Fingers crossed
