Hello all
I made the move to Joomla from Dotnetnuke to set up a new site I am creating. Joomla is pretty cool and much easier to install the DNN. I am having one issue though with something I am trying to do. I can create a wrapper page to display external content by adding one in a menu. This is pretty cool and easy to do. But the issue is that I want to be able to add a wrapper page to the site without having to create a menu item for it. The reason is that I want to be able to create a wrapper page that can only be accessed by clicking on a photo. This is very easy in DNN. But how can I do this in Joomla?
Thanks for any help
Scott

You should try the Wrapper Module. (a Joomla Default Module)

thanks for the reply

I have used this module and it does work for some of what I am trying to do. but how can I create a new page with this module on it without having to create a menu link to the page? I want to be able to link to the page from a photo, without having to create a menu item. Is this possible?

If you install the JCE Editor instead of the default editor, you can link anything(an image or text) to a internal page, menu, file or external url.

I had a similar need, to link to a contest entry form that was not listed elsewhere. The way that I handled it was to create an "uncategorised" article and I linked to that.

Hope this helps!
