I recently upgraded my installation of Joomla to 1.5.14 and my SecurityImages to the newest version. Now my Global Config pages presents me with:

XML Parsing Error at 24:1. Error 5: Invalid document end

It doesn't seem to affect site operation directly, but I no longer have the option to enable Security Images. Without this I am subject to continual spam attacks, so I've disabled new users registrations for the moment.

I'm not an XML expert but this problem seems like an easy fix. I simply don't know which XML file to inspect or where it would be stored - where do I start looking?

Update: First shot in the dark proved correct - users of SecurityImages, the latest 5.1.2 patch includes an XML file named /administrator/components/com_users/config.xml - remove the extra lines added to this file and you're all set.

Problem posted and solved in about 60 seconds.. gotta love simplicity in design.
