Failed to retrieve administrator password using all procedure

I tried to retrieve joomla admin password on following procedure:

1. I edited hash password and update on php my admin.
2. I deleted all jos_user table and recreate it.
3. I checked user folder in joomla directory. php and xml files are there.
4. I edited user plugin-publish feature.

But still its saying user and password not matching

Can any one tell me, how can i solve this problem.

YAY! Thank you... I have had the same problem since I've not updated my site in months and the password had been change. This worked perfectly.
