SEF: SECOND LEVEL MENU BREAKS LOGO AND IMAGES

I finally got SEF to work. All first level menu items work fine.
The second level menu items all work, however they break the logo and any images on the page they point to.

When I move the exact same menu item from the second to the first level it works and doesn't break the logo or images, however as soon as I make it a second or third level menu, it works but breaks the logo and images on the page.

Has anyone encountered this and knows about a fix, workaround or solution?
