Using AllVideo to add an mp4 video

I have installed AllVideo but don't see any buttons or anything that lets me insert a video. I have an mp4 file which, when I tried to upload to the media manager, it said it was an uspupported file type. I then uploaded it through my host server and put it in the image folder. But what do I do know? How do I get into my article?
