I have followed the steps in the Joomla! documentation (Adding a Menu Item Which Points to an Article) to add a menu item to a dropdown menu list, but it does not show up in the dropdown menu list. What am I missing? Why doesn't it show up? Any help would be much appreciated. I am using Joomla 1.5.

you have to add it to the parents of that item

In the Edit Menu Item screen, look on the left for "Parent Item". It may be set to the default of Menu Item Root. Choose the parent item from the drop down.

Thanks for info on the video. I viewed it, then tried again. I am trying to add an Item to the Child Menu of a Main Menu Item. I have created the Child Menu Item (Article) and now want to it to show up as a link in the list of items in the Child Menu of the Main Menu Item. So, under the Menu Item Details, Display In: I chose the Child Item Name. Under the Parent Item: The first item listed is Top, then it lists the other items already created in the Child Menu. It would seem to me that the new item I am trying to add should show up in the Child Menu (dropdown) list, but it doesn't. What am I missing?
