I have a site with a couple of users already set up at the Manager level. When they login to the back end their mini control panel comes up and works fine.
Today I have added another Manager user with identical settings but when they log in, the control panel appears as it should - but each button (e.g. Media Manager) produces a dialogue box with "you are not allowed access to this component".
I've tried different levels for this user but only "super administrator" works - not very practical!
I've looked in the database but everything seems in order. The only recent change to the site was upgrading from 1.5.22 to 1.5.26
Can anyone suggest what I'm missing?

Panic over.
I had the remains of Admin-User-Access still in the system from a previous install. When uninstalling it clearly leaves the modules behind and active. What a waste of an afternoon that was
