Website crashed

Please help, I asked my hosting company to help me rectify issues I had when trying to edit information on my website which is Joomla.
They sent me a link as they said it was a Joomla problem.
I followed the instructions - as below and now my website has completely crashed and I can't log into the administration area at all.

Please help me as I am losing business with no website up at all.

1. Go to Site->Global Configuration in your admin Panel
2. Choose the Server tab
3. In The Server Settings section, look for the field "Error Reporting".
4. Change the setting to "Maximum"
5. Apply and Save it

now my website has completely crashed
What do you mean by 'crashed'? Do you see error messages, notices or warnings or just a blank page?
