I took over the site for the owner a few weeks ago. I changed the username and password. I asked a few friends if they knew the necessary language to jazz up the site as I don't really know HTML, can't use Dreamweaver etc.

Since when, I have forgotten the password.

No, I'm not a teccy and yes I've been around for long enough to have created a hundred or so passwords for various programs in my time. Yes I do keep a list of them in UPM on my smartphone but no, for some reason, not this one.

If I know the site name and the previous username and password (the one that I overwrote a few weeks ago, is it possible to have the account reset?

Please try and keep it to productive answers, I'm frustrated enough thanks.

And sorry to waste your time, if you have the ability to write codes and the like you won't want to be messing with eegits like me, but I bet there are plenty more like me!!

Thank you

That document is for J1.0 This is the present one:

If you receive mail on the address which is registered with the user, use the forgotten Password function.

How wonderful the mind is, if given a little time and patience.
Thank you for your prompt and kind support, I have no idea about phpAdmin but spoke to a man that does, and he told me what and who I needed to contact for more information before attempting to resolve my problem.
Yee gods thought I, all this and still no sight of a conclusion.
So I sat in front of the computer and pondered awhile, I knew I had been 'creative' with my password this time.......and then it came to me, the password that is.
So all is well, and yes I have added it to my other 26 passwords.....the question is where do I put them all to keep them safe, and under which password??

Thank you again.
