I just took over this site, a Joomla 1.5 website (today). Someone created a DUMB usr/pwd for this account and I think it may have been hacked. When I go to mydomain.com/administrator it shows a blank page and all that is on it is: "SERVER OFF-LINE". The server is not offline as the website functions shows up when you type the URL.

Could someone have replaced the admin login page with this? If so, how can I get the default back without being able to login?

If this is not the problem, any other ideas?

resolved. Fmr developer disabled access to backend.
