Hello,
I have a Joomla site that seems to run fine for me, both front end and the admin. But my client who uses this site at her office in another location has issues with the admin area running VERY slowly and sometimes times out. I thought perhaps this could be an Internet service issue, does anyone think that could be the case? Like I said it works fine here in my office running on our office Wifi, but when I test it at my client's office (on the same exact laptop) everything runs very very slowly. Any ideas why this would be???

The site is down for maintenance, we took it down until we can figure out this issue and a few others. Plus the front end works fine, it's only the backend that is slow for some reason. any ideas? Thank you!

Hello, I just wanted to let you know the site is back up and running so if you can take a look maybe you'll have more insight to the problem? Here is the URL:

Also, just a note this is only for the backend of the site. It seems to work fine for me here in my office using Time Warner Cable internet. But for some reason at my client's office, she is using another company called Windstream and the site admin runs very very slowly and sometime times-out. I also tested this at home and it worked fine for me using At&t internet service provider but when the client tested it at their home, again it was running very slowly but she also uses the same Windstream internet at home. So it almost certainly has to be an internet service provider issue with Windstream. Has anyone ever heard of this issue or know what can be done to fix it? Perhaps it's some sort of security or firewalls with the Windstream provider? Thank you very much!

Is the frontend also slow at your client's system? If yes, then it has to do with his ISP. His ISP maybe using some firewalls(or of its like)...

The front end is a little slow but it is still ok and usable. It's just the backend will take forever to load. You can login to the admin initially OK and usually open 1 or 2 users to edit but then the 3rd or 4th user you try to edit it will just freeze up or time out.

I think, it is not your fault as it is working fine on two ore more ISP. Also, i am having no problem browsing your site. It just loads up.

Yes it sounds like it's an ISP issue. I was going to have the client call their ISP to ask them about it. Are there any questions you would suggest we ask them? I'm not really sure what would be appropriate, maybe ask them if they have made any security changes or changes in their firewall settings recently? Thanks!

You can just tell your client to contact their ISP and the website address they are having slow load time(but not on other ISP). I think this info will be quite enough for them coz i had such similar issue before, where a site would not load completely(but works fine on other ISP). I contacted my ISP and they asked me the web address i am having problem. After a few hours, my problem was gone.
