I uninstalled phoca gallery component, it stated that it could not remove some of the files so I logged in to ftp and manually removed them. I also noticed that I still had files from joomfish hanging out in my directory tree so I deleted those also. now when I log into the back end I get a blank page.

I do not have a local back up to restore, and my host does not have support on the weekend to load a back up on the server.

I fear that even if I reload from backup that when I go to remove those files and directories the same thing will happen.

now I can wait, and the backend times out so it will allow me to log back in again, but just keep getting the blank page @ /index.php.

anybody else have this type of issue, or seen this before?

Am suddenly experiencing same problem. Assumed the problem has something to do with Joomfish, because of error message I was getting. Had to manually delete all references to joomfish from database. Error message went away, but blank page problem did not. Cleared my browser's cache. No change.

Still working on this one. Meanwhile anyone with similar experience, your input would be welcome.

I am also experiencing this problem. Joomla was working fine before. However just the other day, I logged into the backend administration section.

I can see main menu buttons, to add an article, global configuration, category manager etc. But if I click on ANYTHING...and I mean ANYTHING. It doesn't load and just gives me a blank page.

I thought the issue may have been with my host, but I don't think it is. I can't make any updates to my site at the moment. I have no idea what is wrong. I've flushed my brower cache, history, cookies etc. But I am also getting the same problem from multiple computers....so I believe it is my site that is the issue.

Everything on the front end works fine....but the backend is dead in the water.

Hmm...I just upgraded from v1.5.7 to 1.5.8, and its working again.

I just experience the same and I upgraded from 1.5.11 to 1.5.22 without any change.

Please help.

Hi, Did you fix the problem? and if so how did you do it?
