my site is www.gaudiumspes.org , it's grid template based and it's VERY SLOW.

If you try to open an internal page, it takes a long time.

To all the experts, champions, & virtuosos of Joomla:

I have my site running very, very slow for first time visitors. Taking up to 23 seconds or more to open up. Same applies for all pages within the site.

In trying to resolve the issue, I have done the following, but with NO luck.

1. Optimized MySQL data tables ( ALL )
2. CssJsscompress Plugin install
3. smartoptimizer install plus .htaccess copy & paste onto our existing .htaccess file ( after rewrite engine on line )
4. Disabled Banner Slider ( hoping for speed ). Now using FLEX Banner instead.

FYI:

5. Running Moset Tree component
6. Running an online appt. PHP script ( such script running at good speed )
7. Running MySMS component
8. Running ACL for public, registered, & special users
9. Running Joomla 1.5.10 ( will update, soon ) & Vortex Temp. from Rockettheme.
10. Running 6 RSS feed + 10 weblinks
11. Ran Joomla perfomance test. Not good....See it for yourself.

Any tips, tricks, hints are highly welcomed.

Got the message, alright.

So, how are we supposed to do when you post an important message that goes unanswered for a few weeks and no one seems to care about, especially when putting your lifelihood in jeopardy. Keep in mind, that we are running a serious business where many people depend on it.
