Hi, I went through the ja_purity tutorial and followed the instructions of creating a my_japurity template. I am running joomla 1.5.14 and ja_purity default install. My front page works fine and other module positioning went great. But all links are dead. Even the readmore button on articles. This is the error for every link:
Not Found
The requested URL /joomla/more-about-us was not found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Apache/1.3.41 Server at www.lastingimpressionwebdesign.com Port 80

Could this be contributed to the my_japurity change?
Site http://www.lastingimpression.com/joomla
I recently had to back-up my site because of an issue with CB Community.

if you turned on sef urls, did you upload a .htaccess? also, because your site is in a sub dir, you need to update the $live_site setting in configuration.php. it should say /joomla or http://www.lastingimpression.com/joomla.

Hi and thank you for the reply.
Yes I did change the htaccess.txt to .htaccess before SEO. The config.php has the correct paths to log and tmp. The site was owrking fine but here are activities that occured prior to me finding the link issue.

previous to this: CB community not allowing access to user management tab.
JoomlaPack Back-up suggested making .htaccess files (deny for all) for back-up destination and tmp.
used back-up made before installing CB.
Back-up went ok but said it could not write the config.php, gave me the correct code, created and uploaded, deleted installation file.
Found JoomlArt tutorial on Ja_Purity template online. Before You Start
Before you start hacking away at the template you may want to do ONE of the following:
• Create a directory templates/my_japurity. Copy the original ja_purity directory to my_japurity. Go to the administrator/language/en-GB directory and copy en-GB.tpl_ja_purity.ini to en-GB.tpl_my_japurity.ini. Do the same in the language/en-GB directory. Open the templateDetails.xml file and change ALL references to the original ja_purity directory to the new directory my_japurity.
3. <name>JA_Purity</name>
326. <language tag="en-GB">en-GB.tpl_ja_purity.ini</language>
330. <language tag="en-GB">admin/en-GB.tpl_ja_purity.ini</language>
388. <param name="theme_header" type="folderlist" directory="templates/ja_purity/styles/header" default="" label="Header Themes" description="HEADER THEMES DESCRIPTION" />
389. <param name="theme_background" type="folderlist" directory="templates/ja_purity/styles/background" default="" label="Background Themes" description="BACKGROUND THEMES DESCRIPTION" />
390. <param name="theme_elements" type="folderlist" directory="templates/ja_purity/styles/elements" default="" label="Primary Elements" description="PRIMARY ELEMENTS DESCRIPTION" />
• Download the tutorial template. Once you download the archive, rename it as my_japurity.zip and then log into the Administration area of your Joomla site and install the template.
This will save you from worrying about any updates to the Joomla source that might overwrite your edits. This tutorial is based on the latest template version as of Joomla version 1.5.11.
TIA

I dont know what to say...it is still allowing me to view this site on my laptop and my wife's PC. Try the root site http://www.lastingimpressionwebdesign and then click on the link in the left column to go to the joomla version.
Thanks for your patience.
Jeff
