Illegal variable _files or _env or _get or _post or _cookie

Hello, I am a developer helping to solve an issue on a Joomla website (savannahinternationalanimationfestival.com) The website, on some browsers/OS receives this message:

Illegal variable _files or _env or _get or _post or _cookie or _server or _session or globals passed to script.

I do not know how this issue started. I have not done anything different other than update an article or two. Some of our users experience this problem and others do not. If anyone could offer help with this issue it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
