I have been searching for a quick fix on this one but was unable to find any.
i was hoping someone can help me within 3 days.

My hosts support team stated that one of our domain is currently consuming excessive resources on their database servers. They need us to reduce the amount of database queries on our website immediate "or else"
Called tech support and they strongly suggested that I delete the database being spammed to solve the problem.
I don't want to delete the database because that would mean deleting the work I have done and I mean a lot of work. What can I do to resolve this?
My thought was , I will try to back up that database and dump it back to a new one and delete the old, but not sure if that will solve the problem.
Any help from the Joomla! gods will be greatly appreciated.
