Hi,

I am in the midst of trying to optimize a site - which is taking up alot of resources of a server.

Let me give you some background info:

We have a dedicated server to ONLY run this webpage. The specs are:
"Dell PowerEdge M610 - Dual-Core Xeon E5502 1,86 GHZ - 6GB DDR3 - 2 x 300GB SAS SCSI 10k (RAID1)"

All images on the site is on a "CDN" - on another servers of ours. So this is not running through htaccess

SEF is turned ON.

The server should be able to 50000 visitors a day when we reach summer.

We have done some stress test on this website with http://loadimpact.com/ - and when the loadimpacktr eaches app. 250 users who stresses the site, with a recording of 5 steps - the RAM is used up,and CPU is VERY hight - around 85%.

This results in a crash.

The site itself is running system plugin - cache. So all pages are cached for 30 minutes.

A few questions I have:

1) When using Page cache - is all quesries still being run?
2) When using page Cache - how much of joomla is loaded?
3) Is the server we have enough to handle what we need with Joomla?

Anyone who have any suggestions to how I can improve my Joomla setup?

At the moment I am at a crossroad, having a hard time figuring out what my next step should be to decrease server CPU load and RAM usage.

I am afraid I cant tell you the webpage, but hope you can come up with some suggestions of what I can do anyways.

Regards
