Re: Free Template released
Very nice template!
Expect for the hover hyperlinks in the menu and the mainbody: I think that it is confusing that hyperlinks change into "regular text"-look with mouse over. And in the main menu: the change of the (switch between bold and regular) characters with mouse over does not look good.
BTW: The hover effect in the menu hyperlinks looks different in MSIE & FireFox.
These are just some minor points of critisism which have no effect on my overall opinion about the layout: very nice, clean and professional!
(and my small points of critisism can be easily changed by people who understand CSS).

Re: Free Template released
Hi "pe7er",
thanks for your kind words!
i think we will release another version of this template in the next days. i am sure i will consider your points of critisism.
it would be nice to have some more feedback, so that we can improve the quality of the template and to gain some ideas for further developments.
i would also like to hear from some installations where mk_cityatnight is installed. maaybe we will do another small extra voting for the best customized version of it.
kind regards tim.

Good job with the templates!

Re: Free Template released
Lovely clean CSS template. I would agree with pe7er about the link hover in the menu and colour of the hover in the rest of the links.
Also, another minor thing is that the size of that page is almost 200kB and it seems that the header and background images aren't optimised for size. You should be able to get this template to under 100kB easily. I know in this day of broadband this seems like nit-picking but if you can get a page to be as light as possible that can only be a good thing and it will load lightning fast which adds to the impression. Here is the size breakdown so you can see that this can be optimised:
Probably also better to use png's for the small images .
I'll definitely download it for my favourite template collection . Please let us know when you release the update .
Thanks for the great work and making it available for free.

Re: Free Template released
hi,
mhh. i think i do not forget it. i just do not use it in that case. the template is around 760px width. if there would be a left column AND a right one it would be to less space for it.
but you can easely add a right column if you want to.
regards tim.

Re: Free Template released
mhh. it is a fixed width template. so 760px will stay as 760px no matter what resolution you use.
