YaNC 1.5. beta 1 released

This is the first larger release of YaNC since the previous one in the 1.4. series. A lot of work has been put into YaNC 1.5. and it's been rebuild from the ground up.

Overall, the structure of the component has improved a lot and it will be better suited to work with Joomla 1.5. when it comes out. There are still a few things I will have to do before it will reach stable phase. More on that can be found on the roadmap.

YaNC 1.5. brings a few exiting new features compaired to YaNC 1.4:

    * The ability to use templates
    * The ability to have more than one mailing per letter at a time
    * The ability to copy mailings (and then modify and re-send them)
    * Statusbar indication about the sending proces
    * Less options to set
    * Update checking and the ability to update from within your site

I have been using YANC to distribute press releases created as content items in Joomla since September, but I started running into an error during the last week of December. When I try to preview the mailing, there is no subject line in the preview e-mail I receive, and the press release content item doesn't appear in the e-mail body. When I go back into Joomla, the information I entered in YANC for mailing out the release hasn't been saved. Please let me know if you have any suggestions to fix these issues. Thanks!

What version of YaNC are you using?
Looks like it's YaNC 1.4, try the latest.

Does that mean that YaNC 1.4 will no longer function properly?

Donno, never worked ok on all installations.
Worked for most though. 1.5. is a bit more reliable.

My concern is that YaNC 1.4 was working properly up until last week.

Well.. then something on the server must have changed compared to last time.
