The idea behind this component is based on com_teac, a Joomla! 1.0 component developed by Tom Winterhalder.
The Team Availability component (com_availability) offers you the possibility, to gather information about members of your site and their time schedule. If you're having a sports website, for example, you can keep track of which user can attend at the teams important dates (i.e. competitions, practice etc...)

This component is a complete rewrite from scratch and is not yet feature complete, but the basic functionality is there.

The component installs fine as Joomla! 1.5 native.

I'd be happy, if some people feel like, this component can help them. Feel free to test it and give me feedback or new ideas.
I'd be even more happy, if some developer feels like commiting to this component.

The component can be found at JoomlaCode - Availability Component

Cheers!

Martin

A new release of the Availability Component, which introduces new features as well as bug-fixes, is now available:

New Feature: It is possible to enter events for a team (e.g. the date of a game)
New Feature: The back-end has now an entry page which holds an integrated update-checker.
New Feature: Possibility to change the team in the front-end. This can be disabled in the configuration.
New Feature: Team Managers can now edit the members of their team. This can be disabled in the configuration.
New Feature: A legend is now displayed in the front-end explaining the reason abbreviations. This can be disabled in the configuration.
New Feature: The possibility to change dates in the front-end can be disabled in the configuration.

Bug-fix: Fixing strange redirect behaviour with SEO turned off.
Bug-fix: All pages should now conform to W3C standards.
Bug-fix: The ItemId should be carried along in all pages, thus the correct menu item will be highlighted.
Minor changes in some of the language files.

As always, ZIP, TAR.GZ and UPDATE packages are available at JoomlaCode. The update package can be installed like a normal component.
