Why don't you use SMF's SSI for synchronized login & logout?, they even support url redirection for both actions.
Sounds great! Since you seem to know a lot about this, would you be able to implement this in JFusion? I am tied up at the moment with user sync and upgrading the framework to allow multiple simultaneous integrations.

Can anyone still access the Joomla Admin component with this component enabled?
You will need to use the admin username/password of the forum database with the JFusion 1.01 release, as all Joomla users are locked out. Since this seems to be a common problem, in the next release the admin user won't be able to get locked out this easily. As the user "admin" will default to super administrator rights. (if the permissions where not correctly setup in the custom profile field, the message would also display "username/password do not match") The next release won't use the "custom profile field setup" anymore and therefore people should not have these setup issues with the next release.

Waiting for release on joomla 1.12 release..
does this support 1.12 and VB3.7?
JFusion will
never support Joomla 1.0.x, as it is dependent on the beautiful Joomla 1.5 framework.

I have Joomla and VB 3.6.8 with jfusion extension installed and all tests pass in the configuration window of jfusion in the joomla admin panel. When I login to the jfusion login box I get logged in off of my main page. When I hit the forums button on my page the new window with VB is not logged in

I think the cookies for both are not being generated somehow... any thoughts?
The best way to troubleshoot this is to look at the cookies that are generated using firefox. First clear all cookies, then login to Joomla and see which cookies are generated. Then clear all cookies again and login to vbulletin. Then compare the vbulletin cookies generated by Joomla and vbulletin itself. Since cookies depend on the vbulletin license number, "hacked" versions of vbulletin won't work with JFusion.
