Sorry, I understand the different between Random and Related items. But what I meant is that since my Random items can be generated, why can't the Related items is not generate/display?

Only these articles having at least a keyword can be displayed in the Related Items.

So, You should give some keywords in the "Meta Keywords" when you are writing/editing a new article.

Thanks a lot, I know now why the related items doesn't show up.

Normally, I don't put anything in the meta keywords, but this plugin http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions ... items/9909 pick up the related items automatically. This plugin is only available for Joomla 1.5 and now I'm using 1.7. Still looking for something similar and hassle free.

I am using the extra news plugin on both my j1.5 and j2.5 websites. I'm just having a problem on the 2.5 website that extranews refuses to go below the comments section (i use jcomments). I know many people ask to bring extranews above the comments, but I actually want to put it below. I've tried changing the plugin to work OnAfterDisplayContent, but no luck, only onContentPrepare or onContentBeforeDisplay work.

I try to replace the English language with German language. No Success. This is what I did:

In /plugins/content/plg_extranews/languages/ I have put following two files:

1. en-GB.plg_content_extranews.ini
2. de-DE.plg_content_extranews.ini

But the output does not change! Above the list with related News items it keeps displaying: "Related News items:" - although this phrase does not exist nowhere on the server.

So is there some secret fallback-language-file or some caching mechanism? I have no explanation, since nowhere on my server these words "Related News items:" are stored!

Overiding the title also does not work!

Alright, I just found the secret language file. It's hidden in /administrator/language/en-GB

Sorry, but this is very confusing, when identical language files exist in different folders. Because if you change on file this has no effect.

Attached find the german language file. You have to put it into /administrator/language/de-DE/

I want to use your Extranews plugin for Joomla 2.5, but I noticed that the English langauage file for this plugin is not complete, so that I can not make a full translation of this plugin in my native language.

For example, you still use Yes and No for options, but Joomla 2.5 requres JYes and JNo instead of Yes and No in XML file.

And many other parameters/options were not included in the language file either.

Could you please make a full language file for this plugin (this means you need to modify the XML file)?

Hi, I've used this on J1.5 with excellent results. However, when using for J2.5, for any article selected, it doesn't show the main menu on older or newer articles.
