Arcy,

What you think about automatic copyright mark in a future version?  ;) Slide show, as sugest before, is not bad idea.

Now I think that a README with more informatios about use and formating (would be perfect) will help many others newbies users, like me. Jogadgets is very good, maybe it is not known why it has little information about the package at Joomla extensios, por example.

Bye

  Hey Arcy,
    Can you use the drop down info box in only one content I tem at a time ?... I have it on 2 different content items (seperate)on my front page( both with different info)

Yet, if I click the first or second info box , only the first one opens even if I click the second one the first box still opens.

Also what about that mambot (security images) that you made . will that be avilablle soon?

Thanks Trini

The popularity of jogadgets is amazing. I got over 40th. visits only this month. and you know we're not at the end of the month. I don't start to talk about the amount of emails I'm getting every day with support questions.

But I do all the stuff in my free time. during study and work. yet, the donations (I recieved just two, and thankfull for that) don't give me the freedom to work even more on jogadgets. and believe me I have many ideas.

the documentation is pretty poor, I know. the readme covers maybe 40% of the costumizing possibilities you have with jogadgets. maybe I find some time after writing my exams. so excuse the time it takes!

greets

arcy

arcy -

on your website you have a link for more information.  This would be a great place for you to summarize what exactly this gadget does.  I'm interested, but I'd like a summary of what all it can do for me.... without having to read 10 pages of messages in variousl threads...

My server has a GD library, I have checked the phpinfo here http://whplus.com/php4/phpinfo.php.
Just now I contacted the admin and it seems he does has a problem with gd library  :(

My webhost support Gd library right now, I've tested by using coppermine photo gallery ( gd lib resize method  )  and the thumbnai display normal. However my candy-thumbnail cannot get to work properly. I could provide backend acces if you will, cause I'm starting to frustate now >:(

Please help me arcy, here's the link : http://www.djavaweb.com/jomla/

sorry,

but it still has something to do with your servercofiguration. it is a security setting that does not allow show dynamic generated images (e.g. send by header(image/jpg); ). please talk with your hoster.

greets

arcy

Here is an undocumented feature for the candy gallery that I found.  Maybe someone has already found it too bt just thought I'd post

To add a title to your gallery add the following code and change "My Title" to whatever title you want.

- Candy gallery:
  -------------------
  {jgxgal folder:=[path/folder] cols:=[4] title:=[My Title]}

Cheers

Hello Arcy,
if it is of any use/interest to you, I tried yesterday to implement jogadget with the latest release (nightly build 20/6/06 http://dev.joomla.org/content/view/17/60/) of Joomla 1.5 and :
- I could upload normally the files, Joomla 1.5 recognized them
- but I could not activate Jogadget.  It sends back a blank page on the whole install each time I try to "publish" it.
I am not savvy enough with coding stuff to even understand what happens.
By the way, Joomla 1.5 is a wonderful tool and I'll use it in production as soon as there is a stable release. It would be too sad if jogadget cannot be used in it. But maybe, i did something wrong somewhere.

Cheers
Ghazal

I didn't test joomla 1.5 yet. but don't be afraid, you will have a working jogadgets version for joomla 1.5  ;)

I'm having an odd problem, if it's been brought up I can't find it. Using the {jgibox} if I have more than one on a page it only opens the most recent text content in the most recent area. What am I doing wrong, if anything?

Well I disabled the second instance on my site, but it's http://www.ecwreborn.com

What happened was when I added the latest news item the one that moved into the 2nd position and used that function would open the text in the top article.

Great work!!  :-*

This brings eye candy to Joomla! REALLY NICE!  8)
A better documentation about the available commands / parameters would be helpful.

Looking forward for the next release... can't await it.

Anyone else having the "part of first letter only showing'  jogadgets content title issue??
see my post 2 above here if you can thanks.

I think it is the width CSS thing and I've been unlucky as I've tried many templates and emptied cache etc.
[I threw in the correct css code as well and no luck - still shows just a fragment of first content heading letter]

What does one do IF the template CSS does NOT have the width line in it as mention was important in the jogadgets README ...???

Does it HAVE to be EXACTLY as in the readme???

Thank you for reading.

CSS CODE needed in template css file below:
WOULD this conflict with similar code ALREADY in template css file??

table.contentpaneopen{
  width: 100%;
}

td.contentheading{
  width: 100%;
}

I need some help if ya dont mind :) Basically, whats happening is the thumbnails display fine, but clicking on it redirects me to my main site instead of the subdomain.

http://www.ptop.aborman.com/index.php?o ... 7&Itemid=2

Instead of loading the pictures at ptop.aborman.com/whatever it is its trying to load them at aborman.com, and obviously the pictures arent there.

Has anyone an idea how to disable the tabber on the print page of the content?? What I mean is that after pushing the standard print button in Joomla content the tabs should dissapear.

I would like that all tabs print one after each other. Is this possible?

Thanks for your help

Adam

Hope this will help.

Font name "default.tff" doesn't support accents. So if title contains an accent, the following message is shown instead of the image title :
'Error: The server could not create this heading image'

It works with "demo.ttf".

:)

Tested 04.a

- Content-box:
  -------------------
{jgbox linktext:=[open box]}...content to show...{/jgbox}

The link title is not the one set as a parameter but the one set in the config file.  :)

THKS for your hard work while ...

"Sorry I'm late. We've got the soccer-mania in germany right now..." (quote from http://jogadgets.com/) LOL
Don't know if it matches the total craziness we're experiencing in Paris since France won against Brazil ...........
And I cant guess what 'll happen if France wins sunday evening.
