Hey Arcy, fantastic work man, this is one of the funkiest mambots i have come across.

I have a question regarding the candy thumb function. Is it possible to edit the text alignment?

Have a look at http://www.vdub.co.nz/index.php?option= ... &Itemid=37 the top image is using the candy thumb and try as i can, i am not able to get the text to align like the bottom image (which is just mosimage)

It could be that i am just being dumb (has been known to happen  :P)

I am trying to use it for a portfolio type scenario

Hopefully you can help

Got this all working brilliantly on our site using firefox - but in Internet Explorer it doesn't work at all!!  :(

The gallery images just go to a normal html page - no transition effects at all

The sliding down box thing doesn't work at all either

The tabber works ok but same problem with the gap between the content bit and the top bits.

Is there anything that might be in our temlplate css that would stop it working in internet explorer? Have tried reinstalling but thats just the same.

PS - checked with the test page on jogadgets.com and that works fine in internet explorer so its something confilcting with our site in some way uness the jogadgets tests are different than the release.

found out that it was a conflict because the template we're using has some moofx stuff in it & so for internet explorer it was only reading either the template scripts or the jogadget one - so had to make a decision which one to remove and for now have removed the template ones  :'(

I don't know anything about this stuff at all but I saw something that said there could only be one (init) call (or something like that! so maybe that was the cause? It only affected internet explorer - firefox worked fine. Anyway be good to find a way the jogadget stuff could be used alongside temlates with ajax & moofx stuff cos I'm guessing theres gonan be more & more of them?!

Brilliant stuff though - my last wish is to get the tabber fixed up a bit - on our site theres the gap between the top & bottom sections that other people have reported - also the content you put in tends to be aligned a bit oddly like at the very bottom whereas it would look better in the top left.

Remove the gab, as suggested by Willyk http://forum.joomla.org/index.php/topic ... #msg302382 but I do agree it requires a bit of work, haven't heard back from the developer Arcy, hope he hasn't abandoned the project.

I got the gallery working using the attached jgfw.php file.

I'm using Open Sef RC5, J!1.0.8 and Jogadgets 0.3beta in IE6 and FF1.5

Code:
<?php/* edits by Mjaz 2006-05-09
*
* -changed
*      ./_jgfw_
*  to
*      '.$GLOBALS['mosConfig_live_site'].'/_jgfw_
*
*
* -changed
*      include_once('./_jgfw_/jgconfig.php');
*  to
*      require_once('jgconfig.php');
*/

I noticed all the javascript and css files are loaded on every page, even when no gadget is used on that page. Seems like unnecessary overhead to me.

btw: Great extension! I've been playing with it today, I even use the gallery on a live site already (I know I shouldn't, but I couldn't resist  ;) ).

can you show us the way you have inserted the code in your page?

I reckon its the same problem as the tabber, no spaces in the code.

i think the greying out of the images is a built in effect,  was thinking the same thing myself.

maybe Arcy can shed some light on the subject

Does anyone know how to get the imagetitle to work on component titles such as Contact Us? I've tried changing the div class in the  contact.html.php file, but with no luck.

Arc, show your head around here so some people can send you some money. You rock!
Seriously, PM me your PayPal address.

hi,

first I have to say that it's really great to see that there are some people around who are really loving jogadgets :-)

and coming to the perhaps most importing question: does the development on jogadgets stop? just a short answer, no!

I had to work and study pretty much during the last few weeks. but I can tell you that I've got already some optimizations and new features for jogadgets in my mind ;-)

so don't get angry if the next release take some time. but earning some money and the college  are at the top of my list (for now).

and before I'll forget, you have to thank Willy Kerr for pointing me back to this thread ;-)

greets

arcy

Hi Arcy,

Thanks for the clarification on the project im sure alot of people will be really happy to hear that there is a future for Jogadgets, which by far is the most innovative mambots ive seen for Joomla in a long time!

:laugh:

the should give you a solution:

replace this (line 380-383):
Code:
                      $output .= '<table class="thbbox" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0" width="'.($lon+10).'" height="'.($lar+27).'"><tr>';

                      //do not display this line if you do not want the number on the picture
                      $output .= '<td class="jgxgaltd" valign="middle"><small><b>'.($k+1).'.</b></small></td></tr><tr>';

with this one

Code:
                      $output .= '<table class="thbbox" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0" width="'.($lon+10).'" height="'.($lar+27).'">';

                      $output .= '<tr>';

Many Thanks... That worked....

I'm now havving a few issues with the CSS... the output looks kinda funny in my current setup (odd margins around the images see link http://www.surfandsnackshack.co.uk/cms/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=36&Itemid=28).

I've checked the CSS in gfw_css.css and it looks fine, I want to create an even 5px border around each image.

Cheers

Adrian

open the file jgfw.php and make a search and replace for "&fltr[]=gray"...that's it!
I don't plan to make a slideshow feature...now. perhaps it'll be in one of the next releases.

Hey arcy, any idea about the text alignment issue? with mosimage, i can get the text to align next to the image, but with the candy thumb feature i can only align to the bottom edge of the image (hope that makes sense)
